More Games tickets to go on sale
Sports fans who missed out on securing seats at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games will get another chance to see some of the popular events when more than 120,000 new tickets go on sale on Sunday.
The tickets, which are for previously sold-out netball, basketball, gymnastics and lawn bowls, have been returned from the tourism and corporate sector, News Limited newspapers report.
The new basketball tickets include seats at the men's and women's gold medal games.
Two previously sold-out sessions of the athletics that included the night of Jana Pittman's 400m hurdles final would also be made available to the public.
Ninety-three opening ceremony seats priced at $100 and more than 400 tickets at $250 each would become available from midday on Sunday, a Melbourne 2006 spokesman told News Limited.
The first Commonwealth Games ticket ballot ran in March and April, 2005, and was followed by a second ballot in June.
General ticket sales opened last October.
