Warne's divorce tipped to cost $10m
Shane Warne is set to fork out $10 million in a divorce settlement to his soon-to-be ex-wife Simone.
In an interview with New Idea magazine, Simone Warne says her marriage to the Australian cricket star is definitely over and the couple will divorce.
"It's over and there's no going back," Simone says of her turbulent marriage.
"I've worked out what I'm going to do and how I'll cope.
"I don't think Shane had really thought about it. I don't think he believed it was really over. I am sure he thought we'd try again when he got back from the UK."
Their imminent divorce comes after years of alleged infidelity by the world's leading wicket taker.
The final straw for Simone came last year after British newspapers reported Warne's alleged involvement in a series of sex scandals.
As Warne entertains cricket fans over summer, his wife is preparing for the future, with a hefty divorce settlement estimated to be worth $10 million.
On dividing up their considerable assets, Simone, a former model, says she "tried to be an adult" during negotiations.
She says she and Shane will continue to live in the family home with their three children, at least in the short term.
"The house is big enough to cope and it's good for the kids to have him around," she said.
"It's almost like we're flatmates."
Simone has signed up to appear on the Seven Network's Dancing With the Stars series.
Others personalities who have also reportedly signed up for program are former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins, boxing champ Kostya Tszyu and music guru Molly Meldrum.
Seven weatherman Grant Denyer, Human Nature singer Toby Allen and former rugby league player Luke Ricketson are also among those expected to trip the light fantastic.
It's believed Simone and the other celebrities will begin training with their dancing partners in a fortnight.
The first episode will air when the new ratings season begins in early February.
In the past, Dancing with the Stars has proved to be a relationship making experience for some celebrities.
After series two, travel presenter Tom Williams forged a romance with his dance partner Kym Johnson, who subsequently called off her engagement to Aussie cricketer Shane Watson.
And while their relationship has ended, singer Nikki Webster is still doing the cha cha with her dance partner Sasha Farber.
Simone, who'll rely on SMS text votes to keep her in the competition, has maintained a sense of humour despite her marital woes.
Asked about relying on text messages - the same form of communication Warne used in his alleged flings - to stay in the dance-off Simone says: "Well, you have to laugh."
