Nutley cops two-match ban
Cronulla prop Danny Nutley copped a two match suspension when the NRL judiciary found him guilty of a grade one dangerous throw.
Nutley will miss matches against Manly this Sunday at Brookvale Oval and Parramatta the following week.
It's a big blow for the Sharks who have already lost skipper and Test halfback Brett Kimmorley for the match against the Sea Eagles after he pleaded guilty to a careless high tackle charge on Tuesday.
Jim Barnett, legal counsel for the Sharks, argued that Nutley's team-mate Keith Galloway was chiefly responsible for lifting Penrith hooker Luke Priddis above the horizontal in the 31st minute of Cronulla's win over the Panthers on Saturday night.
But the NRL judiciary panel of Darren Britt, Mal Cochrane and Jeff Hardy disagreed and found Nutley guilty.
