All-rounder Luke Butterworth has been rewarded for his good limited-overs form with inclusion in the Tasmanian team for the Pura Cup cricket match against Victoria starting at the MCG on Thursday.

Butterworth was a member of the Tigers team which scored an upset victory over Queensland in the ING Cup final at the Gabba on Sunday, claiming 1-65 from nine overs.

He replaces Darren McNees in the Pura Cup team.

The Tigers are already out of contention for a berth in the Pura Cup final with three rounds still to play.

The fourth-placed Bushrangers need to win their last three matches and hope other results fall their way if they are to qualify for the decider on March 18-22.
