McGrath backs rule change
Australian paceman Glenn McGrath has backed the introduction of a consistent rule over how much bend bowlers are permitted in their actions.
Ahead of Thursday's International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting of the chief executives of all 10 Test-playing nations, McGrath said players would appreciate a uniform rule.
The ICC is set to extend the legal limit of arm bending to 15 degrees as part of a new review on bowlers with suspect actions.
The game's current laws allow spinners five degrees, medium pacers 7.5 and fast bowlers 10 degrees.
"From a player's point of view, it would be good to have one rule which covers everything and stick with that and (have) all players abide by that," said McGrath, who has taken 481 Test and 298 one-day wickets.
"That's what I would like to see, yeah."
The ICC will announce the results of it executive meeting on Saturday, but it is expected the extension will be adopted.
