Chiming In - with Steve Gillis

Honest, raw conversations with sometimes controversial figures in sport. Hosted by Steve 'Chimes' Gillis.

This week Chimes is joined by Tommy Herschell.

Tommy is fast becoming one of the best known names in Australian sport. And he hasn’t had to make a tackle, sink a putt or wield the willow to catch the headlines.

The founder of a charity called Findyafeet - Tommy and his team run school, sporting and community based workshops for people young and old.

It provides a platform for people to tell their story, the skills to own their stuff and the tools to shift culture that’s been holding them back from speaking up for far too long.

Today rugby league stars Nico Hynes, Luke Lewis, Harry Grant, Sam Thaiday and Dale Finucane have all teamed with the charity to lend a hand.

Other famous athletes including Matthew Hayden, Sam Riley, Mitch and Shaun Marsh, Ky Hurst, Geoff Huegill and many others have also joined the cause.

This year Tommy has begun working with several NRL clubs and the results have been astounding.

You will be motivated and moved by this episode of Chiming In which brings a different but emotional perspective to life. Hopefully Tommy’s message may help you as you travel life’s journey.

Chipping In - Fanatics Golf Club

Hosts Ollie Silverton & Ewan Porter look at all the week's golfing news.

And what a week it has been for the game of golf for the professionals and the amateurs. Ewan ticked off playing every course in Sydney this week and Ollie saw his first ever amateur hole-in-one which was in a match against him.

In the professional game Rory McIlroy showed his class with an epic win at the iconic Pebble Beach whilst his compatriot Shane Lowry was stealing the show with another incredible ace and Jason Day took the headlines with his outfits. Over on the DP World Tour former LIV golfer Laurie Canter gets yet another win as does former world number one Ollie Schniederjans in India.

This week is a party week with the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale and Ewan shares some epic stories from his time there, a place he knows well after living on the course for a number of years.

As ever the guys finish with something they love and hate about the game and Ewan has another tip for all you amateurs who are trying to work out how to finally crack the uncrackable game.
