Frawley brands Thomas a liar
Richmond coach Danny Frawley has branded his St Kilda counterpart Grant Thomas a liar as the verbal fallout continues to escalate from the fiery AFL clash at Telstra Dome.
St Kilda tagger Steven Baker is expected to tell the AFL Tribunal on Wednesday night he had no recollection of the off-ball incident where he was reported for striking Richmond midfielder Kane Johnson.
Thomas said on Monday that Baker had been targeted beforehand by several Richmond players and made particular mention of an incident involving burly forward Shane Morrison.
That claim infuriated Frawley.
"That's why I'm angry," the former champion St Kilda fullback and current Tigers coach said on Tuesday.
"One of my players has been put in the paper for disrepute which is a disgrace and we take umbrage to that, especially when it's untrue.
"... they are basically lies and I don't take anything back about what I said yesterday.
"(Thomas) has made accusations and I want to see where these accusations lie because they're totally untrue.
"They can stick their apology."
Morrison joined the Tigers from Brisbane this season and has slotted in at centre half-forward.
