Stellar cast for AFL tribunal
St Kilda's Aaron Hamill joined an all-star line-up for the AFL Tribunal this week, with Hawthorn's Shane Crawford and Brisbane's Alastair Lynch set to also face the judiciary.
Hamill was reported for tripping Richmond's Ty Zantuck in the Saints' 45-point win over the Tigers at Telstra Dome, while teammate Steven Baker faces a striking charge over an incident which left Kane Johnson with a cut above his eye.
They are among seven players slated to appear before the tribunal, including Hawthorn skipper Crawford on Tuesday.
Both Crawford and Hawks' utility Campbell Brown were reported for incidents involving Port Adelaide's Brett Montgomery during Hawthorn's 81-point defeat at AAMI Stadium.
Crawford will face the tribunal on a rough play charge, while Brown is charged with striking Montgomery.
Brisbane duo Lynch and Darryl White have also been cited on video evidence to appear on Tuesday.
Lynch faces a charge of striking Collingwood fullback Shane Wakelin during the first quarter of last Thursday's match at the Gabba.
Wakelin suffered a fractured cheekbone in the incident, while Lynch went on to kick seven goals.
Regardless of how the tribunal views the incident, the 35-year-old Lynch is unlikely to play in next week's clash with West Coast.
Because of his ongoing battle with chronic fatigue syndrome, he has rarely played matches in Perth in recent years.
