Big three back for Brisbane
Gun Brisbane trio Jonathan Brown, Alastair Lynch and Luke Power were rushed into the Lions' side for Thursday night's AFL grand final rematch against Collingwood at the Gabba.
The Lions had no hesitation selecting the three forwards for the sell-out round three clash even though two of them had not played this season.
Brown missed the opening two games through suspension for striking Magpie Rhyce Shaw in the grand final and only played one pre-season game because of knee surgery.
Lynch has not played this season because of a quad strain.
Brisbane coach Leigh Matthews said Power was ready to resume after missing last week's win over Adelaide through a knee strain he suffered in round one against Sydney.
"Luke's only missed one week so there won't be many problems with him, but the other guys have missed a bit of footy so that's an issue for us and them," he said.
"They're such good quality players that you go with them but, they've only just had sufficient preparation so it'll be a challenge for them to play well."
Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse has given Shaw the chance to atone for his grand final shocker, along with midfielder Dane Swan.
Malthouse described Shaw's selection - after a couple of terrible mistakes in the 2003 decider - as a calculated risk.
"I don't know how it's going to work out, but I'm going to throw the ball to Rhyce," he said.
