Pre-Test work-out for Aussie bowlers
Australia's bowlers will have a final pre-Test workout on the last day of the tour match against a Sri Lanka Cricket President's XI.
But if the bowling is anything like the first innings, it'll be a short workout.
Australia was 4-250 in its second innings at stumps with Andrew Symonds not out on 119 after scoring his maiden first-class century for his country.
The tourists lead by 568 overall after they blasted out the Sri Lankan side for 166 first time around and are likely to declare overnight in order to pursue an early finish.
Those wanting more of a workout with the ball are Shane Warne, who took 1-21 from 38 balls in the first innings, and his leg spinning partner Stuart MacGill as well as Simon Katich and Symonds.
Katich and Symonds appear on a selection collision course for the No.6 batting spot in the first Test, which starts in Galle on March 8.
Neither got a chance to show his wares in the first innings and both want to make as much of an impact as possible.
Symonds' patient yet powerful second-innings century matched the classy 116 provided by Katich on the first day.
With not much separating the pair, Symonds believes bowling could be vital.
Asked what else he could do to impress the selectors, Symonds wasn't taking anything for granted.
