Sri Lanka can delay NZ tour: ICC
The International Cricket Council says Sri Lanka has the ability to postpone its tour of New Zealand.
ICC spokesman Brendan McClements says there is always the option for a country to postpone a tour with the agreement of the host country.
However, he says no-one from Sri Lanka has spoken to the ICC yet.
Early reports indicated Sri Lanka risked a massive fine from the game's governing body if it cancelled its New Zealand tour in the wake of the devastating tsunami that swept Sri Lanka, killing at least 11,000 people and leaving hundreds of thousands homeless.
No players or managers lost immediate family in the tidal waves but Sri Lanka manager Brendon Kuruppu says the team has been deeply affected by the tragedy.
