Grjlusich to be farewelled on Monday
Sports broadcasting legend and Fremantle identity George Grljusich will be farewelled in a public ceremony next week.
The 68-year-old, who covered six Olympic Games during a 47-year career, died on Tuesday of terminal lung cancer.
Grjlusich, signed off the airwaves on October 17, after fulfilling a pledge to complete one last broadcast at Southern Cross Broadcasting's 6PR studio in Perth.
Southern Cross Broadcasting said Grjlusich's funeral next Monday would broadcast live at 10.15am (WDT) from Saint Patrick's Basilica in Fremantle.
A public service will be held afterwards at noon (WDT) on Monday, at the Fremantle crematorium.
