No bitterness towards Williams: Bracken
Paceman Nathan Bracken says he carries no grudge towards Brad Williams for suggesting he was only selected for his Test debut because he bowls with his left arm.
Williams made the comment after being left out of the side for the Brisbane Test against India, allowing Bracken to make his debut.
"I just bowl with the wrong arm mate, that is about it," an angry Williams told reporters at the time.
But Bracken said he was not bothered by the comment, for which Williams has since received counselling and apologised to Cricket Australia and selectors.
"There's always things that people say and they wish they could take back, there's no hard feelings there," Bracken said.
"I know it was just something that was said in the heat of the moment.
"I know when I speak to Brad there's not an issue there, there's not a problem, we're still mates and that's fine, that's how it's going to stay.
"I know he's going to get opportunities in front of me and that's just part of cricket.
"We don't select the sides, neither of us, we just go out and play cricket."
They could both play in the second Test, starting on Friday in Adelaide, with Andy Bichel possibly in danger of losing his spot to Williams.
