Wilkinson in car crash after parade
England's World Cup winning rugby hero Jonny Wilkinson was involved in a car accident as he was driven home following Tuesday's victory parade in London, the player's agent said.
Wilkinson was uninjured after he was honoured in the capital with the rest of the England squad for winning the rugby World Cup against Australia last month.
Wilkinson's agent Dan Collins said the 24-year-old Newcastle star - whose drop goal in the final minutes of extra-time landed the World Cup with a 20-17 victory over Australia - was "fine and back in training today".
"He's fine, he's 100 per cent," Collins said.
Sky News added that the driver of the car was also uninjured.
It is believed the car he was travelling in left a road and hit a tree somewhere in North Yorkshire, northern England.
Three quarters of a million fans converged on central London on Tuesday to salute the England squad as they paraded the Webb Ellis trophy aboard open-topped buses.
Following the parade, the players met Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace for tea and attended an evening reception at Downing Street hosted by Prime Minister Tony Blair.
