Kewell given chance to prove fitness
Harry Kewell will be given a chance to prove he should play in the Champions League final during a Liverpool training camp in Spain this week.
Liverpool were due to fly to La Manga in Spain to prepare for the final against AC Milan in Athens on May 23.
Kewell has featured as a substitute in Liverpool's last two Premier League games, his first match action since last year's World Cup because of injury.
"Harry Kewell was playing well for half a game on Sunday and now we need to see if he is really fit or not," manager Rafael Benitez told reporters.
"Then we will know if can play from the beginning or not. I have possibilities to play different people in wide positions but I need to see Harry on the pitch first."
Kewell impressed Benitez in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Charlton Athletic, laying on one goal and converting a penalty equaliser.
The Australian was a surprise starter in Liverpool's victory over AC Milan in the 2005 final in Istanbul.
He recovered from an injury-hit season to play, but lasted only 23 minutes before limping off with a groin injury.
