Titans secure forward pack for next year
The Gold Coast Titans have continued to secure their current team for next season with the re-signing of tough props Matt White and Aaron Cannings.
The Titans' forward pack has been a key part of their success in 2009, with the Gold Coast side holding one of the best defensive records in the competition.
White and Cannings, who both signed one-year extensions, have been valuable in bolstering the Titans' forward ranks during the various absences of representative trio Luke Bailey, Mark Minichiello and Ashley Harrison.
The contract extension now clears the minds of the two props with White, who joined the Titans last year from Newcastle, saying he can now focus on getting his side their first ever finals berth.
"It's good to get it out of the road so I can just concentrate on playing some good footy for the rest of the year," White said.
"It's a great club and a great bunch of blokes so I'm looking forward to another year, it should be good."
The two join Bailey, Anthony Laffranchi, Harrison, Minichiello and Brad Meyers in the forwards, who are all contracted for next year.
