Carlile signs new AFL deal with Port
Fullback Alipate Carlile has re-signed with Port Adelaide, ending speculation he would leave the AFL battlers.
The Fijian-born Carlile was rumoured to be a target of Greater Western Sydney.
But the 24-year-old said on Tuesday he never considered leaving Port, who are currently in last place with just two wins for the season.
"I love this footy club, love the supporters and love everything this club stands for, so it was a pretty simple decision for me to stay on," Carlile said.
The key defender has played 90 games for the Power since being drafted in 2005.
