Moore, Westhoff re-sign with Port in AFL
Young Victorian Andrew Moore says a spate of re-signings at AFL club Port Adelaide demonstrate faith in coach Matthew Primus.
Moore, 20, and utility Justin Westhoff signed new contracts with the Power on Wednesday, following fresh deals for defenders Jackson Trengove and Alipate Carlile.
Primus, in his first full season as coach, has returned just two wins as the Power head towards their first wooden spoon.
But Moore, who has been restricted by injury to just 13 games since being recruited in the 2009 national draft, said he had great confidence in Primus' rebuilding path.
"I have got huge confidence in Matty and where he's taking our group," Moore said.
"He has been terrific over the last year and with Jacko (Trengove) and Bobby (Carlile) signing over the last week, it just shows how much confidence our group has in Matty and his plans."
Westhoff, 24, said he expected to be a key part of Port's rejuvenation under Primus.
"We all know as a playing group what Matty is about and where he's taking our club, and I'm looking forward to being a part of that," the 88-gamer said.
