King poised for NRL return with Souths
Former Test centre Matt King is reportedly set to return to the NRL with South Sydney from next season.
Rugby League Week reported on Wednesday King, 30, would quit Super League club Warrington at the end of the season and link with the Redfern club on a two-year deal.
The move would see King reunite with former Melbourne centre partner Greg Inglis and incoming coach Michael Maguire, a former Storm assistant.
"Ten Tests, nine State of Origins, six-foot-two, 100 kilos, he gives us a lot of versatility in our backs," Rabbitohs chief executive Shane Richardson told the magazine.
"Matt's had his time in England and he wants to come home.
"He's played under Michael Maguire before, he and GI are great mates."
