Lyon could miss a month
Manly co-captain Jamie Lyon will be sidelined for up to four weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in Saturday night's NRL loss to Melbourne.
Lyon has had scans on the injury, which the club describes as a strain, and will miss 2-4 weeks of action.
It leaves the Sea Eagles' centre stocks seriously depleted, with New Zealand international Steve Matai suspended until round five.
Compounding the bad news for Manly, backrower Shane Rodney will miss six weeks with a shoulder injury after making a return from a knee problem in the NSW Cup.
Prop and co-captain Jason King was put on report in the 64th minute of the Storm game for lifting his knee as he was tackled by Storm skipper Cameron Smith.
King will learn if he faces a charge from the judiciary late Monday.
On a brighter note for the club, winger William Hopoate's shoulder injury is not as bad as first thought and he could be available for Sunday's clash with the Sydney Roosters at the Sydney Football Stadium.
It had been feared Hopoate would miss six weeks.
