Boks' Steenkamp ruled out for Super season
The Bulls say their Springboks prop and South Africa's 2010 player of the year Gurthro Steenkamp will miss the rest of the Super Rugby season with injury.
Bulls spokesman Ian Schwartz says Steenkamp has not recovered from the broken right arm he sustained in a match in March, the second time he fractured the forearm in the space of six months.
Schwartz said Wednesday the 29-year-old loosehead prop will not play again until July, ruling him out for the remainder of the Bulls' defence of their southern hemisphere provincial title.
Steenkamp was due to return to action this month.
The recovery setback also leaves South Africa's in form frontrower short of game time ahead of the Tri-Nations, which starts July 23, and the September 9-October 23 World Cup.
