Injury sidelines Habana for three weeks
Springbok and Northern Bulls wing Bryan Habana will have an operation on Monday to mend a broken hand and be out of action for at least three weeks.
A spokesman for the Pretoria-based Super 14 franchise said the 2007 World Rugby Player of the Year would definitely miss matches at home to Western Stormers and away to Wellington Hurricanes.
But there was a chance he could be fit for a tour match against Otago Highlanders on March 28 after breaking a hand during a 16-9 victory over Golden Lions in Johannesburg on Saturday.
Habana helped South Africa win the World Cup two years ago in France and is a key cog in a Bulls team that leads the Super 14 table after victories over Queensland Reds, Auckland Blues and the Lions.
