Hodges ok, Hoffman out for Broncos
Brisbane's match-winning centre Justin Hodges is expected to overcome a minor hamstring injury and back-up in Friday's NRL clash with Penrith.
But the news on Monday wasn't quite so good for young fullback Josh Hoffman who'll miss the Panthers match after suffering a shin injury during the Broncos' 14-8 win over Gold Coast at the weekend.
Brisbane coach Anthony Griffin could name 20-year-old Gerard Beale at fullback or Dane Gagai, if he is available.
Beale produced a few big plays in the second half against the Titans including a try-saving tackle on William Zillman which proved crucial to the result.
Hodges, playing his first NRL game in 18 months, felt his hamstring twinge after producing a big right foot step to score the game-breaking try when the scores were locked at 8-all with less than 10 minutes left.
He spent the weekend receiving treatment and was confident of being cleared to line-up against Penrith, who were smashed 44-12 by Cronulla.
"It doesn't feel too bad, I should be alright," said Hodges.
Meanwhile the Titans were waiting on scans to show how long they will be without industrious forward Ashley Harrison, who will definitely miss the club's away clash with Canberra after suffering a hamstring injury against Brisbane.
Coach John Cartwright was concerned he could miss several games.
The last-placed Titans, along with the Warriors, remain the only NRL club without a win after three rounds with their season virtually on the line against Raiders this weekend.
Another loss would put the Titans needing to become only the second team in 100 years - after the Newtown Jets in 1933 - to come from an 0-4 start to win the premiership.
