Carroll completes training with Broncos
Tonie Carroll's comeback is on track after the veteran forward completed his first full training session with the Broncos at Red Hill in Brisbane on Wednesday.
Carroll, who retired after Brisbane bowed out of the finals last September, is expected to play his first game off the bench for the Broncos against the Warriors at Suncorp Stadium on Friday night.
The feared hitman has been training privately for his comeback after deciding to come out of retirement last month.
Also on the training paddock on Wednesday was representative centre Justin Hodges who hasn't played since injuring his knee in the first State of Origin match in Melbourne early last month.
Hodges trained with his right knee heavily strapped.
The addition of both Hodges and Carroll, two exceptionally defensive players, should help the Broncos in their bid to end a four-match losing streak which has seen them slip out of the NRL's top eight for the first time this season.
