Elsom named for Barbarians
Australian flanker Rocky Elsom and former All Blacks Justin Marshall and Jerry Collins were among the first five players named on Monday in the Barbarians squad to play England at Twickenham on May 17.
Also included were former France flanker Serge Betsen, who like halfback Marshall now plays his club rugby in the English Premiership, and ex-England captain Martin Corry.
Corry was capped 64 times for England, captaining his country on 17 occasions and also playing for the British and Irish Lions on their tours of Australia in 2001 and New Zealand in 2005.
England's latest match against the Barbarians, rugby union's most famous invitational side, comes ahead of their two-Test series with Argentina in June.
They may be without several leading players depending upon how many of Martin Johnson's men are selected for the British and Irish Lions series against world champions South Africa.
"It's a game that the whole England squad will look forward to, and we will be aiming to add to the three home wins we enjoyed at Twickenham in the Six Nations before our two games against Argentina," Johnson said on Monday.
"With the obvious exception of England players who will be unavailable because of their selection for the Lions, we will aim to have a strong England team playing against the Barbarians."
Corry added: "I've played for England against the Baa Baas, so I know what a great occasion these games at Twickenham can be."
