Carney's tatts trumps Rogers'
Todd Carney has drawn first blood in the battle of the tattooed five-eighths, according to Titans veteran Mat Rogers.
Rogers on Monday generously admitted Sydney Roosters rival Carney's body ink would take a points decision over his own.
But the dual international, to retire at the end of the season, joked that he remained the original tattooed warrior.
"I was the first," Rogers said. "They've all got them now.
"But you know ... society today, it's not just across football."
The 34-year-old five-eighth, 10 years Carney's senior, was the only man to be rested from Gold Coast's Monday morning training session ahead of Friday night's preliminary final at Suncorp Stadium.
But Rogers, who has been nursing a chronic hip problem, said he would ease his way back into action on Tuesday and complete a full final session on Thursday.
Fellow Titans veteran Preston Campbell ran at full pace without problem to indicate he's set to return from a hamstring injury that ruled him out of their play-off win over the New Zealand Warriors.
