Geelong's Corey won't face Bulldogs
A calf injury will keep Geelong midfielder Joel Corey out of Saturday night's AFL clash against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
Corey has played five games since he overcame a knee injury that troubled him early in the season and was named on Thursday night to play this weekend.
But the Cats confirmed on Friday the 28-year-old would not play, which has paved the way for South Australian Daniel Menzel, 18, to make his debut.
Corey joined skipper Cameron Ling (hamstring) and defender Harry Taylor (shoulder) as forced omissions from the side entering a crucial game, as both the Cats (second) and Bulldogs (fourth) will be out to strengthen their claims for the double chance.
