Stormers down Hurricanes 37-13
The Stormers scored five tries and produced another strong defensive display to beat the Hurricanes 37-13 in round five of Super 14 rugby in Cape Town.
Fijian winger Sireli Naqelevuki, Joe Pietersen and Duane Vermeulen all crossed for first-half tries be prop Brok Harris forced his way over in the 57th minute to secure a bonus point for the Stormers.
Winger David Smith notched his fifth try of the season to raise hopes of a comeback for the New Zealand team.
But the Stormers delivered on coach Allister Coetzee's promise to play open, attacking rugby when South Africa centre Jaque Fourie dotted down to cap the victory and send them to second in the standings behind the defending champion Bulls.
Hurricanes replacement Tyson Keats' try after the final hooter was a consolation.
