Burger back to boost Stormers
Stormers captain and Springboks flanker Schalk Burger has recovered from injury and is available for this weekend's Super 14 match against the Highlanders.
Stormers coach Allister Coetzee said on Tuesday his skipper had recovered from the hamstring strain that forced him to miss last weekend's narrow loss to the Brumbies.
Coetzee said Burger and prop Wicus Blaauw would both be considered for selection for the game against the Highlanders in Cape Town on Saturday.
The Stormers lost 19-17 to the Brumbies after Joe Pietersen missed a last-second conversion.
"We're growing, we're learning, we're making mistakes and we have to make sure the players get the opportunity to rectify those mistakes," Coetzee told the team's website.
