Foot injury sidelines Crows' Knights
Adelaide's long range sharpshooter Chris Knights will miss the start of the AFL season after he was diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left foot.
Knights had initially been treated for pain in his heel following the Crows' heavy loss to Port Adelaide in round one of the pre-season cup.
"Late last week Chris was aware of pain and swelling further down the foot towards the toes," said club doctor Andrew Potter.
"An investigation (MRI scan) on the weekend revealed a stress fracture.
"Chris will continue to have treatment for both plantar fasciitis and the stress fracture."
Adelaide have a lengthy injury list before the start of the season, which includes the likes of Nathan van Berlo and Brad Symes.
