Manly extends contracts for wing duo
Manly have confirmed the re-signing of premiership winning wing duo Michael Robertson and David Williams.
Robertson, who scored a hat-trick in the Sea Eagles' 2008 NRL grand final win, looks likely to finish his career at the club with the new deal.
The 26-year-old has played 104 successive matches since joining Manly in 2006, scoring 46 tries.
Williams, known to fans as the "Wolfman", was coming off contract at the end of next season but a club statement says the 23-year-old will stay with Sea Eagles for "several" more seasons.
Williams has already won a premiership and made his NSW and Australia debuts since breaking into first grade last season, and he's hoping for even better results going forward in his career.
"I was up and down last season, I want to be consistent in the upcoming season," Williams said in a statement.
Sea Eagles coach Des Hasler says securing the duo was vital for the club's playing future.
"They have developed well at Manly after initially joining the club for an opportunity," he said.
"They are both proven in big matches and are excellent finishers."
