Tigers secure Ayshford on new NRL deal
Young Wests Tigers utility Blake Ayshford has agreed a new two-year contract with the NRL club.
Twenty-one-year-old Ayshford, who scored a try on his first grade debut against Brisbane last month, can play centre, lock and five-eighth and was voted the club's players' player of the year for the Toyota Cup competition in 2008.
"We are very excited to be able to re-sign such a talented utility player in Blake Ayshford," said Wests Tigers recruitment manager Warren McDonnell.
"Blake hasn't been able to have a full off-season over the past two seasons due to injuries but once he gets that under his belt, he will be a much bigger and stronger player."
