Souths sign Taylor, Fa'alogo heads to UK
New Zealand second row David Fa'alogo has agreed a lucrative four-year contract with English Super League club Huddersfield after being granted an early release from his NRL contract with South Sydney.
Fa'alogo has taken advantage of an option in his contract which allows him to explore the option of playing in the UK and will link up with former St George Illawarra coach Nathan Brown.
Speculation in the UK had linked the 28-year-old with a move to Warrington, but his manager Gavin Orr confirmed the deal was agreed with the Giants this week and his client was delighted with the move.
"David has always been interested in a chance to play overseas and this option is very exciting for him and his family," Orr told AAP.
Fa'alogo will link up with former Wests Tigers stars Brett Hodgson and Liam Fulton and Jamhl Lolesi at the Galpharm Stadium for the 2010 season.
Souths also confirmed the signing of Brisbane prop David Taylor on a three-year contract on Thursday.
Taylor, who is still only 20, made his debut in 2006 and played 34 first-grade matches for the Broncos.
"Taylor is the brightest young forward prospect in the game," Souths CEO Shane Richardson said.
