Steve Price back for ailing Warriors
Skipper Steve Price has been rushed back into the Warriors line-up for Sunday's NRL clash against the Sydney Roosters in a desperate bid to halt his side's three-game losing streak.
Price has missed the past two matches with a throat injury he initially picked up when he copped a stray elbow in his side's round two win over Manly.
His return and that of hulking winger Manu Vatuvei (knee) is offset by the loss of fullback Wade McKinnon (hamstring) for the Mt Smart Stadium clash, a rematch of last year's epic semi-final encounter.
McKinnon's absence sees Patrick Ah Van switch to fullback with Aidan Kirk to play centre and Vatuvei coming onto the flank.
Russell Packer goes back to the bench to make way for Price's return.
"Injuries have had a decent impact on us so far this season but they are something you have to expect in this game," Warriors coach Ivan Cleary said.
"Fortunately, we're getting some of our injured troops back, though."
Cleary said McKinnon was not expected to be out of action for long.
While recalling Price and Vatuvei, Cleary has also included Aaron Heremaia on a five-man bench.
Able to play in the halves or at hooker, Heremaia played in the Warriors' pre-season trial matches and for the Auckland Vulcans in the New South Wales Cup.
