AFL match review panel clears Meyer
The AFL match review panel has cleared Port Adelaide utility Danny Meyer of a front-on contact charge.
Meyer was booked during Saturday's NAB Cup quarter-final against Geelong for his front-on contact with defender David Johnson.
But the panel found that Meyer's legs made minimal contact with the back of Johnson's head as the Power player rolled over the top of him.
"There was no forceful high contact made and no further action was taken," the panel ruled.
The only player facing a penalty is Collingwood onballer Shane O'Bree, who can accept a $900 fine for abusive language.
He was charged for language against the emergency umpires during the last term of Thursday night's NAB Cup quarter-final win over Richmond.
O'Bree can reduce the $1,200 fine to $900 with an early plea.
