Titans line up Farah - on the field
Barely a week after courting Robbie Farah, the Gold Coast Titans have announced they expect to tackle the classy rake when they play the Wests Tigers in an NRL trial at Lismore on February 28.
Farah toured the Titans' facilities with his manager Sam Ayoub for two days last week but is not expected to make a decision on whether to sign with the Titans from 2010 for weeks.
The Titans expect to take on a full strength Wests Tigers for the second annual Larry Corowa Shield clash at Oakes Oval in February.
"As far as the trial is concerned it will be a full dress rehearsal for the first (round one NRL) game against Newcastle," Gold Coast coach John Cartwright said.
"Everyone who is 100 per cent fit will play that day."
Cartwright said he expected the top Wests Tigers squad to travel to Lismore including Farah and New Zealand international Benji Marshall.
The shield is named in honour of the indigenous player from the Northern Rivers region who ran out for both the Gold Coast Seagulls and Balmain during his rugby league career.
The Titans will also conduct coaching clinics and promotional visits in Lismore in the countdown to the clash.
