Sea Eagles get stamp of approval
Australia Post has quickly swooped to celebrate Manly's NRL premiership triumph, by releasing a souvenir stamp sheet in honour of the Sea Eagles.
Manly recorded a grand final winning margin on Sunday when they thrashed Melbourne 40-0 to claim the 2008 premiership, avenging last year's loss to the Storm.
The stamps feature images of post-match celebrations, with the team logo and scoreline - all set in club's maroon and white colours.
Australia Post philatelic group manager Noel Leahy said the stamp sheets were a unique way for Manly fans to celebrate the club's first premiership since 1996.
"Fans will be able to relive the victorious moment, with the souvenir sheets available within days of the game," Mr Leahy said.
The set, which retails for $15.95, will go on sale around the country at midday on Thursday.
