New dad Stagg to play against Dragons
Brisbane lock David Stagg will leave his wife Temika and newborn baby daughter Paige Olivia long enough to play for the Broncos against St George Illawarra on Friday night.
Baby Paige arrived almost a week overdue on Thursday clearing the way for Stagg to turn out for the Broncos' in their NRL match with the Dragons.
Her late arrival forced Stagg to withdraw from last weekend's loss against the New Zealand Warriors in Auckland.
"It will be a bit different playing out there as a dad," said Stagg on Friday.
"But I had a good sleep last night and I am going to have a rest this afternoon, so I will be more than ready to play against the Dragons."
Skipper Darren Lockyer will break winger Michael Hancock's club record when he plays his 298th game against the Dragons at Suncorp Stadium.
