Brown to decide soon on future
AP - Nathan Brown says he will make a decision on his coaching future "in the next week or two".
The Huddersfield coach has been linked with a return to the NRL and touted as a possible replacement for Matt Elliott at Penrith.
The former St George Illawarra coach's wife recently gave birth to a third child and he intends to decide on his future soon.
"I've always said I'd wait a few weeks after the baby was born to make a decision," Brown said.
"In the next week or two, I'd like to get it settled - not only for my own sake but for the club's sake, for recruiting and retaining players going forward.
"I'd like to think in the next couple of weeks we'll get things sorted, one way or the other about what's going to happen."
Huddersfield have slipped off the top of the Super League after losing two of their last three matches but Brown does not believe the uncertainty around his future has affected the performances of his players.
"I'd like to think not," he said.
"We've got a pretty reasonable leadership group in place and, if the right people set the right examples on and off the field, it shouldn't really matter."
