Lions hope Lappin returns this weekend
The Brisbane Lions are crossing their fingers veteran midfielder Nigel Lappin will make a long-awaited return from injury this weekend.
Lappin has not played for seven weeks due to a lingering Achilles tendon injury but he's listed for a fitness test at training and appears on track to play for the Lions reserves.
Brisbane coach Leigh Matthews said full-froward Daniel Bradshaw remained doubtful of returning from a hamstring injury in Saturday night's AFL clash with Adelaide at the Gabba.
But Matthews expects Michael Rischitelli to return from a hip problem and fellow midfielder Scott Harding was available after a knee injury.
Defender Jason Roe, who played in the Lions 63-point loss to the Western Bulldogs, is also listed for a test.
