Goodes' guilty plea continues streak
Sydney's Adam Goodes will continue to build his long streak of consecutive AFL games after submitting an early guilty plea to rough conduct against West Coast's Adam Selwood.
The plea allows the Swans' dual Brownlow Medallist to accept a reprimand for his head-high bump on the Eagle, rather than risk a suspension by fighting the charge at the tribunal.
It means Goodes will be able to extend his unbroken streak of games to 203 when Sydney meets St Kilda at the SCG on Saturday night.
Fremantle's Heath Black accepted a two-game suspension after pleading guilty to striking Brisbane's Troy Selwood during Saturday night's match at the Gabba.
Several other players have accepted lesser penalties.
North Melbourne's Michael Firrito and Geelong's Paul Chapman have been fined for wrestling each other, as have Black and Selwood, while Western Bulldogs ruckman Ben Hudson accepted a reprimand for a low-grade striking offence.
But Adam Selwood will contest a charge of striking Sydney's Adam Buchanan, with his previous good record and the low grading of the charge meaning he faces only a reprimand even if he loses at the tribunal.
