Undefeated Australia back in training
The Australian team emerge on Thursday from a two-day break to train at the Police Sports Club in Barbados in preparation for Friday's Super Eights match against Ireland.
Undefeated in six games in their World Cup campaign, Ricky Ponting's defending champions have warned Ireland, captained by Australian Trent Johnston, that they will be in their normal ruthless mode.
Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds said Ireland, who tipped Pakistan out of the tournament in the group stage, had some "cunning players".
"If they have a day out, they could make life difficult for us," Symonds says.
"So we'll be looking to have a clinical and professional day out against them and hopefully we just win that game and we can move on.
"We want to squash any hope they have of beating us as quickly as possible.
"They've done exceptionally well for a side that has the sort of cricket background that they do.
"The minute you are over the rope, you are doing everything you can to show them why we are a great cricketing nation and why we don't have hiccups against sides like that.
"But you've still got to pay them the respect of being at the point they're at in the competition."
