Aussie cricketers arrive in South Africa
Australia's cricketers have arrived in Johannesburg for their six-week tour of South Africa.
The 14-man one-day squad will train on Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for the tour-opening Twenty20 match on Saturday morning (Australian time).
That match will be followed by a five-game one-day series starting next Monday (AEDT), and then a three-match Test series.
South Africa will be keen to restore some pride in the one-day competition after missing the finals in the just competed tri-series in Australia, where the home team overcame Sri Lanka 2-1 in the finals to claim the title.
Australian captain Ricky Ponting will front a press conference in Johannesburg late on Tuesday Australian time (1900 AEDT).
