Hewitt motors into US Open fourth round
Lleyton Hewitt stormed into the US Open fourth round for the seventh successive year on Monday with a crushing straight-sets victory over Serbian teenager Novak Djokovic.
Australia's 15th seed will meet either Frenchman Richard Gasquet or Swiss Marco Chiudinelli on Monday for a place in the quarter-finals after dismissing Djokovic 6-3 6-1 6-2 in just 90 minutes.
Djokovic was expected to seriously challenge Hewitt after rising 60 spots up the rankings to No.23 in the world this year.
But the 19-year-old never proved a threat as Hewitt achieved a pair of service breaks in each set to comfortably advance.
