Thousands of Serbs cheered Novak Djokovic on his return after winning the Australian Open.
The reception took place on Saturday in front of Belgrade's City Hall with 10,000 flag-waving fans.
The 20-year-old Serb defeated Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Melbourne final.
Djokovic also defeated top-ranked Roger Federer in the semi-finals and was the first Serb man to win a singles Grand Slam.
"This year my goal is one of the first two spots in the world," third-ranked Djokovic said before the reception.
