Hewitt through to Wimbledon third round
Lleyton Hewitt breezed through to the third round at Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over unseeded Italian Simone Bolelli on Thursday.
The Australian No.16 seed, who had a tougher time of his straight-sets win against first-round opponent Richard Bloomfield of Britain, took one hour and 38 minutes to account for Bolelli 6-2 6-2 6-1 in the second round.
"From what I saw of his first-round match, he was quite flashy out there," Hewitt said of Bolelli.
"You can easily play into his hands, no matter what surface it's on.
"I had to get a lot of balls back, especially off his first serve, make him play, make him feel uncomfortable out there - I felt like I was able to do that right from the start today."
Hewitt signalled his intentions early by breaking the world No.65 in the first and third games of the match.
From there, the 19th-ranked Australian marched on to a regulation win.
He broke his opponent to love in the seventh game of the third set, claiming victory with a forehand that bounced on top of the let cord and landed just over the net.
