Leppitsch expects to play on Rocca
Brisbane key defender Justin Leppitsch believes he will still line up on Anthony Rocca in Saturday's AFL grand final despite the Collingwood forward's report for striking.
And Jarrod Molloy, the player most likely to replace Rocca if he is suspended, said he would pray that his fellow forward was cleared at the tribunal.
Rocca was booked for an elbow to the face of Port Adelaide ruckman Brendon Lade in yesterday's preliminary final win at the MCG and Tuesday's hearing will be pivotal in the lead-up to the match.
Despite the report being laid during the game and clear-cut video footage, Leppitsch expects another clash with his fellow number 23.
"It's a tribunal decision, but we expect him to play," Leppitsch said at today's Brisbane recovery session following last night's win over Sydney.
"He's going to play, I think Anthony's going to play.
"Whether he plays or doesn't, it doesn't matter to their performance, I don't think it's going to change their hardness or aggression they've shown in the past few weeks, having Anthony there or not.
"He provides three or four big marks in a game that can turn it, so to that end if he doesn't play they'll miss that side of the game."
Rocca's report is the major talking point ahead of a repeat of last year's grand final, and a suspension would give the Magpies a major headache on how best to replace him.
Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse reiterated his "horses for courses" selection stance after watching the club's VFL affiliate Williamstown win its grand final over the Box Hill Hawks.
