Rocca appeal dismissed
The AFL Appeals Board upheld Anthony Rocca's two-match ban for striking, meaning he will miss Saturday's Grand Final against Brisbane.
The Board first upheld the original verdict and then ruled the ban should stay.
The AFL Tribunal on Tuesday night found Rocca guilty of striking Port Adelaide ruckman Brendon Lade.
Hawthorn coach Peter Schwab and former Richmond captain Neville Crowe appeared as character witnesses for Rocca, arguing missing the Grand Final would be too harsh a penalty.
