Bogut makes it two from two in NBA
Andrew Bogut and the Milwaukee Bucks continued their scintillating start to the NBA season on Thursday, cruising past the Nets in New Jersey to maintain their undefeated record.
Bogut had 10 points and a mammoth 17 rebounds, the second highest return in the NBA this season, for his first career double-double as the Bucks rallied for a 110-96 win over a side favoured to win the Atlantic Division this year.
It was a second straight road triumph, after the overtime win against Philadelphia, for a Milwaukee team that finished a horrible 7-34 away from home last season.
Guard Michael Redd, who signed a six-year $US80 million ($A107.83 million) contract in the off-season, again proved his worth with a game-high 41 points, 33 of them in the second half.
Redd had 30 points against the 76ers on Wednesday.
TJ Ford had 21 points for the Bucks, while Maurice Williams hit four three-pointers off the bench on his way to 23 points.
Vince Carter's 25 points paced New Jersey.
The Nets, in their season-opener, jumped out to a 21-5 lead and the signs were ominous for a Milwaukee side playing for the second straight night.
But the Bucks gradually worked their way into the game to continue their solid start.
Milwaukee has spent years mired in NBA mediocrity, but the likes of Redd, Ford and Bogut are trying to change that.
