Lions' players refused entry to Thailand
The Brisbane Lions AFL club has distanced itself from an incident involving several players on a private end of season trip to Thailand.
Up to four Lions players and a club official were amongst a group of seven refused entry into the country shortly after their plane touched down at Bangkok Airport.
The Lions put the club at an arms-length from the incident with the release of a statement on Wednesday night.
"Out of a group of 10, including some Lions players, seven of those people were turned back at Bangkok Airport," a club spokesman said.
"Essentially they were all private citizens on annual leave so it's really got nothing to do with the club."
The group was believed to have been refused entry due to their behaviour on the flight.
